Jay Music Program Dominates at National Heritage Festival

Jefferson City High School and Simonsen Ninth Grade Center music students take top
honors in every class and every event!

The Jefferson City High School and Simonsen Ninth grade music programs completely
dominated at the national Heritage Music Festival in New York this past weekend. Every
group and ensemble placed at the top of its class in every event. The musicians competed
against 15 other top programs in the country.

Music director Steve Eubanks said, "We were told by officials that a school has never
taken the top award for every entry. We're so proud of the students!"
